This week the Chicks learned about feelings, supported by the Topic Book ‘Feelings’ by Kathy Gordon. The children loved opening the flaps in the book and discussing the different feelings of the characters in the story.
During the week the children were very engaged in lots of fun activities related to emotions and these helped the children discuss how they were feeling and the different emotions they have. The children loved making faces out of playdough, painting self portraits, exploring the Teddy bear emotion masks in the Outdoor Learning Environment and drawing faces. The Chicks were also introduced to the Emotion Board in the classroom where they can add their own picture to the emotion they might feel today.
