Chicks News - 17th October 2025

This week the children showed great interest in our Topic Story 'Wheels' by Sally Suttton . We used the theme of vehicles to inform our activities during the week and everyone enjoyed creating vehicles out of egg boxes. We had diggers, tractors and event racing cars! The children even added wooden wheels so that the vehicles moved.

We continued our learning outside the classroom by embarking on a vehicle hunt where we saw a bus, a taxi and the highlight of the day was the rubbish truck. One day during  Free Play the children made marks with the paint and vehicles on the paper. During Maths lesson the children created vehicles out of pre cut 2 D shapes and some children even brought vehicles in for their Show and Tell. After reading the story several times the Pink Chicks had so much fun reciting the repeating sentences in the story.
