Chicks News - 27th February 2026

The Chicks had a wonderful first week back at 345 Nursery after the holidays and the Green and the Pink Chicks loved their topic story,The Goodnight Garage. All the children showed great interest in the various vehicles such as the fire engine, the road sweeper and the marking lorry. The children enjoyed lots of fun activities related to the vehicles and extended their vocabulary. We were so impressed with how cleverly the children created their favourite vehicles out of paper shapes, pipe cleaners, straws and ice lolly sticks. 

The Purple and the Orange Chicks Topic Story this week was Rattle and Rap, a story about a train ride. The children had so much fun pretending to go on their own train rides, decorating a train using the sponge technique and constructing a train track out of the wooden train tracks. All of the children showed brilliant listening when they listened to the trains on their Outdoor Learning Walk too.
