Fledglings News - 12th September

The Fledglings had a fantastic start to the year and it has been lovely to see everyone embracing their groups, forming new friendships and welcoming the new children. Our Topic Story for this week was ‘Tropical Terry’, and this supported our focus on building friendships and embracing our uniqueness. The children have loved engaging with the colourful pictures in the book and creating art inspired by the story. 

We have also introduced the children to our Person of Interest for this term - Steve Irwin. With the children showing high levels of interest in animals we felt the energetic personality associated with Steve Irwin was a great way to extend their interest further. 

The classroom as been busy as the children have enjoyed the new resources including the PlusPlus construction which is great for building fine motor strength as well as using our new ‘shoe free’ quiet area. We are excited to see what the year ahead holds for us.
