We have had another wonderful week at 345 and the Fledglings have enjoyed two highlights! We participated in World Book Day on Thursday which involved the children and teachers having the opportunity to come in dressed up as their favourite characters and we welcomed family and friends into the nursery for our Art Exhibition.
To kick off our World Book Day celebrations the children brought their favourite books to nursery on Monday and loved sharing them with their friends. We continued to read our favourite books during Circle Time, Snack Time, in the Outdoor Learning Environment and with parents as they joined us for our Parent Reading sessions! We included lots of small world play using the books the children had brought in for inspiration such as the farm for What the Ladybird Heard and the dolls house for A Squash and a Squeeze.
For World Book Day the children all came dressed up and we had a range of wonderful characters including Stickman, Zog, Bruce Lee, Mary Poppins and Fireman Sam amongst others. The teachers also joined in, transforming into a tiger, a panda and the rainbow fish!
On Friday we welcomed parents, extended family and friends to view the children’s artwork in our Art Exhibition. The exhibition brought together all of the Fledglings hard work, which they have produced over the last three weeks, taking inspiration from the work of Alexander Calder, Rembrandt, Andy Goldswothy and Helen Frankenthaler. The children were delighted in sharing their work and we are so proud of their hard work and achievements.
What a super week at 345 Nursery!
