This week at 345 the Chicks have been looking at shape. Our Topic Story, ‘We Love Each Other’ by Yusuke Yonezu used two of an animal to make a shape, for example, two birds together created a heart. The Chicks were really engaged in the story and while making their shape collages in Art they enjoyed naming the different shapes.

We have used our Fine Motor Skills to chop playdough during Free Play and vegetables during our cooking lesson. We have also been working together and Taking Turns in the Role Play Area, pretending to be Firefighters and Doctors.

Outside we used our Gross Motor Skills for lots of climbing. In Sport we also practised improving our balance, pretending to be Flamingos and standing on one leg.

During Write Dance session we pretended to pour from one hand to the other and used our arms to make big circular movements like the Water Mill in our song.

As we prepare for our Christmas concert we have been learning the songs and actions.

It has been another lovely week of fun and learning for the Chicks at 345.
