Fledglings News - 10th October 2025

This week the Fledglings have been preparing for the Harvest Festival and our Bring Grandparents to School Day. Our Topic Stories were ‘My Grandpa is Amazing’ and 'My Grandma is Wonderful’, celebrating all that we love about our grandparents. We also read the book ‘Welcome to our World’ where we looked at the different ways Harvest is celebrated around the world. 

We loved welcoming our families in to celebrate the Harvest Festival and the children were wonderful as they carried in the generous donations. Pastor Pete joined us from Balham Baptist Church to lead a short talk linked to our Kind Hearts Classroom Principle as we discussed what being kind meant to us. 

Alongside all this excitement we continued with our regular curriculum where the children worked on their fine motor skills, literacy and maths activities in One to One time and Focus Time with their teachers. We were joined by our Spanish teacher for our language lesson and enjoyed our Outdoor Learning Day on the common.
