Fledglings News - 16th September

This week the Fledglings' topic book was Ravi's Roar by Tom Percival and this offered a brilliant platform to discuss our emotions. We used watercolours to create colourful speech bubbles and discussed how we feel during different occasions.

There has been a lot of discussion around the memorial events for The Queen this week and the children have been interested in the books and pictures we have had on display. They loved looking at the pictures showing the Queen through the decades and enjoyed learning about her different roles. The children have also been able to draw on their experiences of visiting our Royal landmarks outside of the nursery and their memories of the Jubilee celebrations we held earlier this year.

A highlight of the week was the commencement of our Outdoor Learning Days. The children had a superb time enjoying being out in nature, searching for insects, climbing trees and exploring the Mathematical concepts of height and length!

It's been a great week and we can't wait to continue the fun and learning next week.
