Fledglings News - 25th April 2025

It was lovely to welcome the Fledglings back after the Easter Holidays and the children were excited to see each other and share their holiday adventures. Our first Topic Story for the Summer Term was ‘10 Things I Can Do to Help My World’, and we discussed Earth Day and the children loved sharing the things they do at home with their families to care for our planet.

We enjoyed a wonderful morning on the common for our first Outdoor Learning Day of the term. Some of the Chicks are joining us during this term's Outdoor Leaning Days and the Fledglings did a wonderful job of ensuring they knew the Safe Zone rules and it was fascinating to watch the children’s games evolve to include the new children.

For many of our Fledglings seeing Coach Alex for our weekly Sports sessions is a highlight. We love the creative games he makes up, challenging our coordination, balance and gross motor skills as well as developing our teamwork and listening abilities.

We are excited to see what is in store for the rest of the term as we prepare the Fledglings for their transition to big school.
