This week the Fledglings have been busy with our Christmas preparations. Each year the children make a selection of gifts for their families and we have been as busy as the elves as we create these lovely surprises for our families. We have also been practising our Nativity which will be both filmed and performed live. The children have loved doing this and are getting on so well with using their big voices for saying their lines and singing the creative songs written by our wonderful Music teacher Mr Alex.
Alongside all these festive activities we are enjoying Small World play, especially focused around the Nativity as we retell the story. The Fledglings have requested lots of mark-making activities and we have seen some fantastic drawings by the children as they link their learning to the roles they have in the Nativity.
Despite the colder weather our Outdoor Learning Environment is as busy as ever as the children make ice cream, cakes and pie in the Mud Kitchen and climb around our large climbing apparatus.
